About Rose's Noodles, Dumplings and Sweets

Rose's Noodles, Dumplings and Sweets is an asian fusion in Durham, North Carolina. It is listed at 121 N Gregson St, Durham, NC 27701, which places it among the local businesses of Durham that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as bakery, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Durham, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across North Carolina run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

The business lists hours on 4 days of the week. Typical hours are 11 am–9 pm. It is closed on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (919) 797-2233. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, rosesdurham.com.

Durham is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Durham follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I visited this restaurant/cafe for the first time after passing by multiple times and decided to stop in around 4-5PM. it was very aesthetically pleasing inside, busy, and the vibes were great. but the seating was not comfortable at all… I understand the seating choice was likely made to fit the very compact size of the restaurant, but the chairs were very little and dug into my skin and I had to hop up into them. as a short person it was very awkward and impractical, and especially since sitting so close to people I felt like I could easily bump into them and knock them over. if you have a wheelchair or use any mobility devices you likely will not be able to sit inside comfortably, probably only outside. the table space was also so compact, with the largest utensil bucket imaginable on a tv tray sized table with a large sized dish, it was a pretty uncomfortable and tricky eating experience. i found myself reaching over, trying not to bump things off my table and others… you get the point! the meat noodle dish fell flat for me for multiple reasons. maybe it was an off day for them, as the pork belly was far from tender and the 2 small pieces of pork belly I did get in the sauce we

My friend and I had a fantastic time dining at Rose’s. The pastries looked incredibly tempting. We arrived around 12pm on a Saturday, which turned out to be an ideal time for brunch. Our meal consisted of Ramen, two steam buns, Bahn mi, and a hot and sour noodle dish. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re not familiar with the area. However, the large lot next to the restaurant, labeled for Brightleaf, is a great option for parking. Roses even validated our parking for two hours. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was lively yet intimate. It was a perfect dining experience to start the afternoon.

Interesting little place - small Asian focused menu with bao, ramen and pho but at the same time serving some amazing pastries. Park across the street at the Brightleaf lot and they will validate for free 2 hours. It’s a little chaotic inside during peak hours but the service is still fairly quick. Enjoy!

This is my new favorite spot in Durham! Rose’s Noodles, Dumplings & Sweets is hands-down one of my favorite places to eat in the area. The food is creative, comforting, and full of bold flavors β€” you can really taste the care that goes into every dish. The dumplings are delicate and perfectly seasoned, the handmade noodles have great texture, and the desserts are absolutely incredible (don’t skip them!). I came here for the first time and ordered a steamed meat bun, the winter sweet potato salad, the House Iced Jasmine Tea and for dessert I got the citrus upside down cake. The food and dessert were fantastic, but the jasmine tea was not my favorite, but that does not mean it was bad. It was just not my favorite flavor. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere feels warm and inviting, and everything is clearly made with love. Whether you’re out for a casual dinner or a special night with friends, you can’t go wrong with Rose’s. By the way, the restroom is beautiful and clean. The only small issue is parking. There is no street parking, but there is a public paid parking lot about a block from it. Overall, highly recommend!

This is a cute restaurant/bakery! The seating situation is a bit confusing if you've never been there. It you want to sit inside, sit at one of the open tables and the server will come take your order. If sitting outside I think you have to order at the cashier and then take a number outside with you. The food came out within a reasonable time period. I got the pork/mushroom ramen. It's good, but definitely different than ramen you'd have in Japan. It doesn't have that traditional miso flavor. But I was impressed with the soft boiled egg! It was perfection.
